The Sun wondered why the clouds always blocked it. “Why do they stop my light from reaching the Earth?” it thought. “Maybe the Earth prefers the clouds over me.” These thoughts made the Sun feel even lonelier and less important. As the days passed, the Sun’s sadness grew deeper. It began to believe that its light was no longer needed. “Perhaps the Earth would be better off without me,” the Sun sighed, feeling lost and unsure of its purpose in the sky. One day, the Sun gathered its courage and decided to speak to the clouds. “Why do you always cover my light?” it asked with a heavy heart. The clouds floated gently and answered, “Oh, dear Sun, we don’t mean to block you. We are here to protect the Earth from too much heat and to bring rain that helps plants and animals survive.” The Sun was surprised by the clouds’ reply. It had never realized that the clouds were not trying to compete with it but were actually working alongside it. “So, we’re working together to take care of the Earth?” the Sun asked curiously. The clouds smiled and said, “Yes, your warmth and light are as important as our rain. Together, we keep the Earth balanced.” Hearing this, the Sun felt a sense of relief and pride. It understood that even when its light was hidden behind the clouds, it was still making a difference. The Sun realized it wasn’t alone; it had a vital role in supporting life on Earth. From that day forward, the Sun shone brightly with joy and confidence. It and the clouds worked in harmony, ensuring the Earth stayed warm, nourished, and full of life. The Sun learned an important lesson: everyone has a purpose, and even when its light wasn’t always seen, it still mattered deeply.

As he reads about the Diplodocus and Ankylosaurus, the book magically transports him to a world of ancient dinosaurs. Tim finds himself in lush jungles among majestic creatures. He meets Ziro, a small, green ceratopsid dinosaur who is lost and searching for his parents. Tim offers to help Ziro find his family while learning more about dinosaurs along the way. They encounter various dinosaurs, including peaceful Triceratops, giant Brachiosauruses, and clever Velociraptors. They also see a massive Tyrannosaurus and an impressive Pterodactyl soaring through the sky. After a long search, they find Ziro's parents in a clearing. Grateful, Ziro thanks Tim for his help. As a sign that his adventure is ending, the book glows brightly, and Tim is transported back to his attic. He reflects on his incredible journey and adds new knowledge to the book about each dinosaur he encountered, making it even more amazing.

Her mom does 2 jobs to make ends meet, however with high rent and cost of living, theyhardly have enough money for food. So one day, along with her mom, Emma goes to the local foodbank that is run by Feed Scarborough. At the foodbank, while Emma was waiting in one corner reading some fun books, while her mom was shopping at the foodbank, Emma saw a racoon walking around, playing with an apple. Emma started talking with the Racoon. Racoon told Emma that his name is Dignity, and the apple is his friend, named Hope. Dignity told emma all about food insecurity in our community and that she is not the only one who comes to the foodbank. Feed Scarborough's foodbanks are set up like a grocery store, so her mom can pick and choose the food that Emma likes. Dignity also told Emma about so many children, who are not having enough food to eat nowadays as times are tough. Dignity told Emma that better days are coming soon as Toronto's Mayor and Canada's Prime Minister is working together to have better food in school so no children need to study in empty stomach. As dignity was telling Emma these stories, suddenly Emma heard her Mom's voice, calling out to her. As she turned towards the door, she saw her mom asking her to come with her so they can leave the foodbank. As Emma turned back, Dignity and Hope was nowhere to be seen. Was Dignity and Hope real? Were they really there telling Emma the story or were they franction of her imagination, as on the wall, there was a poster of Dignity and Hope (which are the mascots of Feed Scarborough.

1. John Jr and Vasi was exploring around outside. They would occasionally stop to greet people. Vasi finds a peculiar purple rock. 2. John Jr uses his phone to try to identify this rock. It appeared to be 'a stone of tomorrow. John Jr saw some steps to follow to activate the stone. John Jr and Vasi wondered what would happen. 3. John Jr followed the instructions and would chant anything needing to be said together. They completed the last step and all the sudden the stone glowed brightly and became warm. 4. They then felt a weird feeling in their body. A before they knew it they was in a strange place. People looked and did things very differently than what they was used to. 5. People was zooming pass John Jr and Vasi in spaceships. Everyone they saw were dressed funny in plastic clothes. The oddest thing to John Jr and Vasi is the fact that people no longer spoke to each other. Instead they used a combination of sign language and telepathy. John Jr and Vasi started to check out the place. 6. They found a sign for an upcoming carnival on June 28, 2044. John Jr and Vasi was intrigued. Life was very different than what they had known, which made them a bit scared. 7. John Jr looked up for something to help him and Vasi return back to normal. John Jr found some steps for a reversal. John Jr and Vasi carefully followed steps. The stones became cold and with a blink of an eye, they were safely back in their neighborhood. 8.. John Jr and Vasi was glad to see a glimpse of the future, but had no desire to return. They took the stone home and put it on their shelf.

The book is called Pauly’s Pool Day. It's a Children's Book with a targeted audience of 3yrs-3th grade and revolves around body image and self-confidence as a young kid of color finding his worth. It is an engaging and heartwarming tale that combines the insecurities young boy might have going to the pool with not taking their shirt off and gaining confidence from his parents The manuscript is complete, and I am now seeking an illustrator who can capture the essence of the story through captivating visuals that will appeal to readers of all ages.
